What we can compile for Texas

  • Businesses of one or more industries (NAICS), limited to the counties or ZIP codes you name.
  • Identity fields where the source provides them: name, legal form, registry number, status, filing date, address and region.
  • Public contact fields from the companies' own websites: phone number, general email address and website. Not every record will have every field.
  • One CSV or Excel file, with no subscription. Before you order, we confirm the sources, the number of records after filters, the as-of date and the price.

What we do not offer

  • No ready-made download: we hold no dataset for Texas and publish no counts, coverage figures or prices of our own.
  • No marketing consent: the data is not screened against any do-not-call list.
  • No personal data beyond what the source publishes: we do not look up personal email addresses of employees.

Public registers in Texas

Public registers are the starting point of a list on request; contact fields come from the companies' websites. For some industries, state license records add the license type and status.

Texas Secretary of State, Business Services

Filings of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other entities formed or registered in Texas.

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, Active Franchise Taxpayers

A public file on the Texas Open Data Portal listing active taxpayers set up for franchise tax under Tax Code Chapter 171, with name, address, county code, organizational type, Secretary of State file number and a NAICS code column.

Outreach rules

Federal rules apply in every state: the CAN-SPAM Act for commercial email, and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Telemarketing Sales Rule for calls and texts. States can add rules of their own, as Florida does with its Telephone Solicitation Act. An export contains no consent; the compliance of your campaign is your responsibility. This is not legal advice.

FAQ

Questions about Texas data

It depends on what you count. The U.S. Census Bureau counted 670,878 establishments with paid employees in 2023 (County Business Patterns) and 3,318,535 businesses without paid employees in 2024 (Nonemployer Statistics), 3,989,413 together. Of the businesses without employees, 2,991,698 were sole proprietorships. None of these figures comes from our dataset.

No. Our main product is the Florida Business Database. For Texas we compile data on request and confirm the scope, the as-of date and the price before you order.

Because each is the latest year published: County Business Patterns runs to 2023 and Nonemployer Statistics to 2024. Within one year a business is in only one of the two series; because the years differ, the sum approximates the number of businesses rather than counting it exactly.

There is no price list for markets on request. The price depends on the industries, the region, the fields and the number of records; we quote it in USD before you order.
