Figures from our production database (firmoskop_us), as of October 15, 2026. Active entities only (Sunbiz status "Active"). Fictitious names (DBA trade names) are counted separately and are not included in the entity total. Email addresses shared by 3 or more entities (typically registered-agent or formation-service addresses) are excluded from the email count. Phone and website coverage is still growing via ongoing website crawling; the figures below reflect the state of the crawl on the as-of date.

For a sense of the size of the market: Active business entities registered with the Florida Division of Corporations (corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and trusts) – 4,129,182 as of July 8, 2026 (the “Last Update” date printed on the source page, which we read on October 11, 2026), of which 3,004,129 are limited liability companies (source: Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations, Yearly Statistics). The state updates these totals quarterly. This is the state’s own figure for registered entities, which are counted whether or not they have employees or operations; it is not a count from our dataset. For comparison, the U.S. Census Bureau counted 523,095 firms with paid employees in Florida for 2022 (U.S. Census Bureau, Statistics of U.S. Businesses (SUSB) 2022) and 645,575 establishments with paid employees for 2023 (U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023) as well as 3,427,341 businesses without paid employees for 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau, Nonemployer Statistics 2024); the breakdown is in the table Florida businesses by county.

Industry figures are official statistics, not records we hold: Florida businesses with paid employees (U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023, establishments, NAICS 2017 codes) plus businesses without paid employees (Nonemployer Statistics 2024, NAICS 2022 codes), summed over the industry's codes; for local government, the 2022 Census of Governments. The two Census series cover different years. Sources: U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023; U.S. Census Bureau, Nonemployer Statistics 2024; U.S. Census Bureau, 2022 Census of Governments.
We hold no dataset for other U.S. states, such as Texas, California, New York or Georgia, or for countries of the European Union. Data for these markets is compiled on request, so there are no counts of our own, coverage figures or prices to publish here; official market size figures are on the pages for Texas, California, New York, Georgia and the European Union. For a specific request, we confirm the sources, the scope and the as-of date before you order: send a request.

Industry classification is assigned only for a minority of records so far; the rest are being classified. The industry table shows official Census figures for the size of each market. Per-industry own counts will appear in the table once they exist for all industries.
No. We publish the email addresses as collected from the companies' own websites. The presence of an email address does not guarantee that it is in service or that a message will be delivered. We exclude addresses shared by three or more entities (typically registered-agent or formation-service addresses), which reduces false positives but is not a deliverability check.
